Run-time conversions

The AppServer converts the following types of character data passed between a client and the AppServer agent:

Columns of input and output temporary tables.
Connection parameters.
Error messages.
Input and output parameters.
Return values (RETURN string) from 4GL procedures.
Return values from 4GL user-defined functions.
The names of executed 4GL remote procedures or functions.
